Northern Ireland Cancer Patient Experience Survey
Following the success of the Cancer Patient Experience Surveys in England, and Wales, the Public Health Authority (PHA) in Northern Ireland, with Macmillan Cancer Support, has funded a similar survey in Northern Ireland, using Quality Health as the designer and implementer of the survey. The questionnaire used is almost identical to that used in England and the methodology used is also congruent with that in England and in Wales.
The 2015 Northern Ireland Cancer Patient Experience Survey covered approximately 5,000 adult cancer patients in Northern Ireland (aged 16 and over) with a primary diagnosis of cancer who had been inpatients or day case patients, and who were in active treatment between 1st December 2013 and 31st May 2014.
This section of the website contains important documentation on the survey. Here you can find: the questionnaire, the All Trusts Report on the survey, reports for the five individual Trusts, and a detailed Methodology and Data Tables document which provides evidence of the underlying analysis that has been undertaken.
